Did you know...The Merasi (meaning 'musician' or 'keeper of the stories') descend  from 38 generations of rich artistic heritage. They are musical historians who narrate  the Thar Desert's folk past through sacred, celebratory songs. The Merasi, the musicians featured in Song of the Dunes, are on the cusp of eradication.
